EAST Miami's Climate Ribbon canopy represents our commitment to building sustainability right into our spaces. This feat of design and engineering provides shade to visitors, harnesses the region's natural airflow to create A/C-free cooling, and even collects rainwater for later use.

FILTERED DRINKING WATER, ON TAP

All of EAST Miami's guest rooms now feature filtered drinking water taps to cut down on plastic bottle waste and offer guests clean, sustainable refreshment on demand.

ON-SITE FOOD WASTE MANAGEMENT

Using two on-site aerobic food digesters, food waste from Quinto is thoroughly broken down to be seamlessly disposed through our hotel's existing smart plumbing system. This means both fewer visits from waste transport trucks and even fewer emissions.

SAVING WATER, MADE SIMPLE

EAST Miami uses a smart pump system that both manages pressure and prevents loss from leaks or damage, enhancing our efficiency while saving water. We also do this by collecting rainwater for use in our cooling tower and landscaping.

My top energy saving tip is to unplug items that you regularly don't use, such as your coffee maker or game console, for example. The list goes on and on but truly in my house, if we don't need it, we try to leave devices unplugged."
